The PCA Conference is at the Corning Museum of Glass in NY state this year. We are up to do a demo, and I’m down for a presentation.

This will be our last visit to the US as we hope to retire from making next year, although we will have stock to sell at the Premier Glass Fairs.

The PCA Conference will show the very best in the paperweight world with many artists demonstrating in the hot shop, and selling from their stand at the fair.

For the first time, I’ve practiced my demo piece first. I couldn’t make my mind up whether to start making the top or base, so I needed a trail run.

It needs a bit of grinding as the set-up picked up some debris from the plate, it won’t take long on the linisher.

Inspired by the old crucibles we have in our garden that we grow dwarf water lilies, as in second image.
