One off Art Pieces

I have always found it important that a one of one actually be a one of one.  Many will argue that they are hand-made, so they will all be slightly different and therefore all original, but I do not agree, a one of one should be one only or else its a limited edition or production.

I have tried to keep these in the order they were made so you can see the progression of my art.

I do change the colour sometimes; and if I make two or more the same that has to be a limited production piece or special production piece.

These are some of our “one of one” pieces, past and present in which only one was made.

  • One of three "Geisha" plates made. One of one. Four overlay colours were used to make the plate. This is now SOLD.

  • Incalmo vessel formed from latticinio, Vetro a fili and torsade techniques. Early piece. One of one.

  • Incalmo bowl formed from vetro a fili and torsade cane work. Early piece. One of one.

  • Flat bowl made from, latticinio, torsade and retro a fili techniques, early piece. One of one.

  • Another experiment, this time using tesserae sections, combined with filigree rings (torsade) and vetro a fili. Circa 2002. SOLD This is now SOLD.

  • A large murine center cane of "Girl" followed by a gold leaf incalmo sections, a white filigree corkscrew torsade, a flashed purple incalmo, a fine black vetro a fili incalmo, and a clear incalmo edged with a fine black rim. The foot is also of fine black vetro a fili edged with black from 2018. Every component of this series of 6 pieces was made without using the furnace! Special one of one! This is in our ARCHIVE.
